The Camp - Lake Hawea has been a firm favourite with "Kiwi "families for decades. We provide the 'quintessential Kiwi Camping Experience' for all ages! The incredibly spacious 26 acre lakeside holiday park has magnificent lake and mountain views and an abundance of mature trees, attracting birdlife and providing shelter for campers. The park has 98 powered sites and 250 tent sites, together with 10 traditional cabins, a lake-side cabin, 4 two-bedroom self-contained tourist flats as well as Cross Hill Lodge and Geodomes onsite. All under 5 year olds are FREE. Mountain bikes can be hired from the park to explore the local tracks and fishing rods can be hired to guests for FREE to fish for the many salmon or trout in Lake Hawea. Lake Hawea is a picturesque township nestled in the Southern Alps; it has 2 restaurants/bars, a take-away, café and a general store. It is popular destination for fishing, water sports enthusiasts, hunting, walking or just taking time out to relax. The many local attractions close by make Lake Hawea an ideal location to use as a base. Bring your friends, family and even your *pet dog (by arrangement).
